We regretfully announce the passing of our Beloved Chaplain, Lynwood “Woody” Spencer. Woody began his career in Law Enforcement with the Edgewater Park Township Police Department in 1975. During this time, he served as Patrolman, Detective, Sergeant and his most loved position, D.A.R.E. instructor. Woody loved interacting with the youth of Edgewater Park up until his retirement in 2008. Woody belonged to the Fraternal Order of Police, Burlington County Lodge #2 and currently served as Chaplain. Throughout the years Woody held several positions on the Executive Board and always served with the utmost pride. “The Big Guy” will definitely be missed, but rest assured he has left us with endless memories. I can hear him now,

“Hey Kid, be careful out there and watch your back.”
